What happens during a sound healing session?Your session will be as unique as you are. We begin with a consultation. While you lie fully clothed on a spa table, I may use sound to pick up areas where energy is imbalanced. I design a session specifically for you and use various sounds to shift and unblock stagnant energy and use harmonic sounds to balance and align your energy. Some instruments are used away from the body, and some may be gently placed on your body, so you feel the vibrations as well as hear the sounds. Afterwards, there is a period of silence to allow your body to absorb these sounds. After the session, you should feel deeply relaxed. At the end of the session, I discuss my findings with you and you can share your experiences with me if you wish.

How can sound heal? All instruments create sound and energy, known as sound waves, that you can usually hear and feel. We are made up of energy too. Sound enters our energy field and synchronizes our brain waves to achieve a profound state of relaxation which helps restore the normal vibratory frequency of all the cells in our bodies. The vibrations are working at the cellular level and are resetting the body’s natural frequencies to heal itself and work more efficiently. When there is disease in our body, it means our cells are vibrating out of balance. The sound and vibrations from the healing session helps to bring our cells back into their original state which is balanced and harmonious. Sound healing instruments also stimulate the alpha and theta brain wave frequencies which are associated with mediative and peaceful states of mind. This is the state where deep healing can take place.

Sound Healing and Reiki work in conjunction with regular medical treatments and there are no interactions with medications or treatments. They complement whatever treatment you are receiving and are non-invasive. Unlike massage or reflexology, Reiki and Sound Healing do not involve manipulating tissue and just work with energy fields. Reiki and Sound Healing do not and should not replace your current medical treatment.
